    A spelling program which enables child to spell words from the reception and years 1 and 2 literacy key words. Child is given the opportunity to track the letters in order, spell the word by using the keyboard and see the word written in a sentence.

    Years 3, 4 and 5.

    Once or twice a week

    Learning difficulties. Literacy and short term memory.
  • Do you find the software easy to use?
    Yes.
  • Your view of the software e.g. graphics, speech and area(s) covered by the software:
    Text clear and good size. Speech not always clear.
  • Who supervises the delivery of the programme?
    SSA
  • Pupil's view of the programme:
    Yes enjoyed it. Helped with spelling the hard words. You get a few goes on each word. Liked tracking the words. Enjoyed the quiz at the end.
  • What areas of expertise does the programme cover and does it marry with other programmes used?
    Letter and word recognition. Reinforces letter names, encourages children to do the same. Auditory and visual skills.
  • Any improvements that could be made or any other comments:
    Just takes too long to customise own list for child. You have to type in all 20 words and sentences to set the individual program.
  • Progress made by the pupils:
    Increased keyboard mouse skills. Uses letter names when spelling new word.
  • Would your school continue to use the programme?
    Yes most probably.
