Rational for Meetings

The rational in developing a permanent site for meetings.

The reasons for the development of such a site.

• Central meeting area within the cluster
• Easy access
• Good parking facilities
• Developing a site where information can be stored

The idea initially was for school to act as host, whereby differing working environments could be viewed. However, this has not been the case as meetings have been held in the staffrooms due to the size of numbers. It has also not been practical large number of people wandering into working areas and casuing possible disruption. It is therefore, being encouraged for SSA/TA's to arrange their own visits after pupil working hours if they wish to participate in this facility.

The SSA/TA's also wish to use a site where they can develop and share resources. Another option would be to display their initiatives on a data base, this however may cause considerable management problems and is currently open for discussion.(they are thinking of employing you Ruth to do this job which they favour)

Two sites have been suggested. The mobile at Ridge Hill Primary and the one at Arlies
