Primary Cluster Meeting - 23/01/07

• Stuart Longley (Advisory Teacher EPALS)

Agenda:

• The meeting commenced with a demonstration of the 'Rapid' Reading Programme.
• The second half of the meeting involved a discussion about the content of the group's assessment pack. K.P. will adapt the Assessment Pack to the format the T.A.'s and S.S.A.'s requested and a draft will be brought to the next meeting.
• S. L. promised to bring along a free downloadable test of reading comprehension and one to assess writing speed at the next meeting.
• W.R. ? also promised to give a report on their school's involvement with the 'Nessy' programme.

Outcomes:

• The next meeting was left to Marjorie Carty to try and arrange the use of the Computer Suite at Millbrook Primary. The group requested the major part of the meeting should be dedicated to a presentation by S. L. on the use of coloured overlays with children.
